Her Story

A lifelong storyteller.

Kimberly T. Smith (Creator / Writer / Producer) hails from Detroit, Michigan. Her love of the arts was birthed through assisting her aunt, Dianne Smith Newsome, with her stage play, "The Devil Made Me Do It," which saw its theatrical debut in the early 90's. As a result, Kim got to wear many hats — from stagehand to costumes, set dressing, props, and so much more. The show would eventually make its way on a national tour, as well as off-Broadway in New York.

A former high school tennis coach, Kim graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration from Southwestern Christian University, a Master of Science in Higher Education Leadership from Northeastern State University, and a degree in Pastoral Studies from Rhema Bible Training College in Broken Arrow, OK.

A lifelong learner, Kim has immersed herself in a number of trainings and writing workshops to learn the craft of writing effectively. This includes the Austin School of Film for screenwriting and postproduction work; The Institute of Children's Literature; Playwriting and Creative Writing workshops; and most recently, Church For the Nation's (CFTN) Film Lab 2021 for aspiring filmmakers on the craft of writing, directing, and acting.

She is a published author of two books: Heaven's Adventures: The Case of the Stolen Treasure (May 2022) and Miracle Power for Your Hour: How to Access God's Miracle Power in Your Time of Need (August 2007).
