Heaven Under Siege is a high-energy, heart-stirring show featuring 11 original Broadway-caliber songs. Join Heaven, Dad, Carlos, Meanbeard and his band of dirty, rotten, stinking pirates on their first adventure.

Go & Shepherd Productions / NextGen Creatives is preparing to set sail with Heaven Under Siege, a family-friendly children’s musical filled with faith, courage, friendship, pirates, treasure, and a powerful message about what truly matters.
Before we cast our brave adventurers and pirate crew, we are assembling the creative team that will help steer this production from rehearsal harbor to opening night. We are currently seeking a Director, Stage Manager, and Choreographer to help bring this high-seas musical adventure to life.
Performance dates are September 25–26, 2026, at Third Street Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. Rehearsals are expected to begin no later than July 2026. If you have experience in theatre, children’s productions, musicals, church productions, school productions, or community theatre — and you have a heart for meaningful, family-friendly storytelling — we invite you to climb aboard.
Director: The Captain of the Story
A creative leader who can guide the cast, shape performances, support character development, and help bring the heart of this children’s musical adventure to life. Stipend provided
Stage Manager — Keeper of the Ship’s Log
An organized and dependable team member who can help manage schedules, rehearsal notes, communication, attendance, backstage flow, and production details.
Choreographer — Master of Movement
A movement creator who can design fun, age-appropriate, family-friendly choreography for musical numbers, pirate scenes, and adventure-filled moments on stage.
Actor Auditions Coming Soon
Soon, we’ll be calling brave adventurers, spirited pirates, loyal friends, dreamers, singers, movers, and storytellers to join the cast of Heaven Under Siege.
Actors will be invited to submit a headshot or recent photo, performance resume or experience summary, short video introduction, acting clip, vocal submission for musical roles, and availability.

Meet Me at the Inn - A Christmas Musical
Meet Me at the Inn is a modern take on an ancient story. It is a musical compilation of songs depicting events leading up to the birth and death of Christ. This musical journey includes a varied style of musical genres from classical, contemporary, Rap, Broadway show tunes, Blues and more. In a nutshell, the story centers around a grandmother (Nana) who weaves a tale to her granddaughter (Chloe) about the true meaning of Christmas. This story needs to be told now more than ever before!
Tripp - An Animated Family Story
In a world where dogs are caught in a battle between loyalty and rebellion, Tripp, a noble mutt, fights to save his species from a sinister plot to break the bond between humans and canines forever. Throughout the story, we follow Tripp’s life journey from a down and out mutt in search of his kidnapped family to being herald a world-renowned leader among his kind. Tripp finds himself at odds with a rival gang leader who is controlled by a mad scientist hellbent on changing the natural order of dog as “man’s best friend” to man’s worst enemy with her holding the strings.
The Makeup Artist - A Comedy Love Story
When a disgraced funeral mortician (Guy) with a penchant for special effects makeup seeks to try his hand on a reality show as its makeup artist but settles on the janitor's role after spotting Sharon, the show's female star. A shy Guy looks for opportunities to get close to her, but only as disguising himself into various characters. However, things go terribly awry when he is thrust into the limelight under the guise of a pseudo character and his attempts to keep up the act begin to falter exposing his true self.
