Go & Shepherd Productions / NextGen Creatives is preparing to set sail with Heaven Under Siege — a family-friendly children's musical filled with faith, courage, friendship, pirates, treasure, and a powerful message about what truly matters.
Before we cast the adventurers.
Before we cast our brave adventurers and pirate crew, we are assembling the creative team that will help steer this production from rehearsal harbor to opening night. We are currently seeking a Director, Stage Manager, Choreographer, and Musical Director to help bring this high-seas musical adventure to life.
If you have experience in theatre, children's productions, musicals, church productions, school productions, or community theatre — and you have a heart for meaningful, family-friendly storytelling — we invite you to climb aboard.
Who we're looking for.
A creative leader who can guide the cast, shape performances, support character development, and help bring the heart of this children's musical adventure to life. Stipend provided.
An organized and dependable team member who can help manage schedules, rehearsal notes, communication, attendance, backstage flow, and production details.
The Choreographer will create and teach movement and dance sequences for Heaven Under Siege, helping bring the musical numbers and larger stage moments to life. This person will work closely with the Director and Musical Director to develop age-appropriate choreography that fits the story, characters, music, and abilities of the cast. The Choreographer should attend designated movement rehearsals and key production rehearsals as needed.
The Musical Director will help prepare the cast vocally for Heaven Under Siege and oversee the musical flow of the production. Responsibilities include teaching and rehearsing the cast’s songs, helping performers understand vocal timing and musical cues, and creating or coordinating transition music for scene changes and key emotional moments. Any newly created transition music should be prepared as performance-ready tracks that can be incorporated with the production’s existing music. The Musical Director may not be required at every rehearsal but should be available for designated music rehearsals and key production rehearsals as needed.

Soon, we'll be calling brave adventurers, spirited pirates, loyal friends, dreamers, singers, movers, and storytellers to join the cast of Heaven Under Siege.
Actors will be invited to submit a headshot or recent photo, performance resume or experience summary, short video introduction, acting clip, vocal submission for musical roles, and availability.
